As our Brilliant Travel Specialists make their journey home, we’re wrapping up what has been the most magical, festive and unforgettable week on the Danube.

From the twinkling markets of Budapest to the fairytale charm of Bratislava, to the classical elegance of Vienna… every day brought something truly special.

Here are just some of the standout moments:

Budapest – panoramic views from Castle Hill, glittering Christmas stalls, the world’s largest outdoor ice rink, and evenings filled with live music, festive quizzes and plenty of laughs.

Bratislava – Christmas jumpers at the ready, castle views stretching across the city, cosy Old Town streets, traditional goulash and byklovic cake, and the amazing experience of sailing through the Gabčíkovo Lock.

Vienna – imperial architecture, St Stephen’s Cathedral, sparkling Christmas markets, Wiener Schnitzel, festive ice skating and a magical Gala Dinner onboard, followed by a classical performance from the Ars Mundi string quartet.

Back to Budapest – a slow, luxury morning with long lies, leisurely breakfasts and hot-tub dips, followed by the stunning New York Café and final wanders through those iconic Christmas markets.

This trip has been wonderfully relaxing, joyfully festive, and full of moments our Top Sellers will treasure forever.
